ST. GEORGE WAREHOUSE: CHARLESTON FACILITY [1998]

Although it barely ranks among the nation's top 75 metropolitan areas in population, Charleston has overtaken Seattle and Oakland to become the nation's fourth-largest container port. To handle increasing trade and the next generation of larger container ships the Southern Port is developing a new terminal at the Old Charleston Naval Base just a few miles away from St. George Warehouse.
